Josh and Jamie’s story

We met working at a local restaurant in small town Oklahoma. We quickly became close friends which eventually blossomed into a romantic relationship. Over the next 4 years we continued to grow as a couple and make lasting friendships in the small town we lived in. Josh landed a great opportunity in the form of a new job that took us to west Texas, and then east Texas, and ultimately to the Dallas area where we decided it was time to put down some roots. We both fell in love with the northeast part of Dallas and found a place that felt like home from the first moment we saw it. That place was this home. We instantly loved the curb appeal of the house, complete with a tire swing in the front yard! We knew even further that this was the right place for us as we were expecting a son soon and the local schools being some of the best in the nation. The neighborhood felt welcoming and established which was something we were both wanting. Every house was different and with its own charm. We loved that almost anything we could need was just a mile in either direction. The area had great parks, a couple even within walking distance! We had been looking for a house for a little while and new that in the Dallas market houses moved extremely fast, especially at that time. We put in an offer and waited with high hopes. Thankfully our offer was accepted, we couldn’t have been happier. Although we loved the house the way it stood, we knew we wanted to open up the floor plan a bit and make the kitchen larger. One of our favorite things to do is host large dinner parties for all of our friends and family. We quickly went to work on renovations trying to get done before the baby arrived. There was a lot of love and thought put in to every detail of the remodel. At the time we were planning on being in the home for a very long time. Long story short, Josh’s job forced him to leave the area and the decision was made to put the house up for sale so another family could enjoy it. Needless to say, this house will be missed very much. In the two years here we made many memories with new friends, some of which were neighbors, old friends, and family. The house proved to be the perfect spot for entertaining friends and just daily life with a family. We hope that the new family to move in will make many happy memories as well.
